TERM 1 2023 - 10 WEEK PROGRAM

FOR SCHOOL KIDS AGED 6 +

MAXIMUM OF 10 KIDS PER CLASS

WEEKLY TUESDAY CLASSES at the Kate Victoria Creative Studio from 3.30pm - 4.30pm

$250 for 10 classes + $20 for supplied Visual Diary & Lesson Folder

ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED

Starting on Tuesday 24th of January - Tuesday 28th of March

Parents are more than welcome to hang around and help themselves to a complimentary tea/coffee or drop the kids off and come back to pick them up once class is finished

TERM 1 THEME: AUSSIE ANIMALS

This program goes through some beginner art techniques in a fun and interactive way with different artworks being created each week to focus on a specific lesson/technique. This is a program that kids of all ages can enjoy and learn new skills. As part of the cost, each child will get their own visual diary and folder including all the print outs from each week to take home at the end of the term

WEEK 1 - COLOUR

Learning about the colour wheel, mixing colours using primary colours & painting a sunrise/sunset using blending techniques

WEEK 2 - BRUSH TECHNIQUES

Learning what the different shape brushes do, practice creating different marks with each brush, paint an echidna artwork using these techniques

WEEK 3 - PENCIL SHADING

learn about light and shadows, practice different shading techniques, use these techniques to draw and shade a koala artwork

WEEK 4 - PAINT SHADING

Mixing colours from dark to light, learn and practice different shading techniques, use these techniques to paint a balloon artwork

WEEK 5 - PERSPECTIVE

Learn about how distance and angle can change the way things look, practice these lessons by drawing an outback road scene with trees and emus

WEEK 6 - DRAWING CHARACTERS

Learning to use reference images to draw characters, breaking things down into shapes, practicing this by drawing a series of Aussie animals

WEEK 7 - DRAW ARTWORK ONTO CANVAS

Choose an animal from the previous week and refine the sketch, then draw the artwork onto a canvas

WEEK 8 - PAINT ARTWORK ON CANVAS

Decide on colours and start painting in their artworks on the canvas

WEEK 9 - FINISH ARTWORK ON CANVAS

Finish painting their canvas artworks 

WEEK 10 - PAINT MARKER FUN

Design and colour a plywood circle using paint markers to use as a bag tag
